A York County woman is facing charges including retail theft and resisting arrest after East Lampeter Township police arrested her outside of the Calvin Klein outlet store at Tanger Outlets on April 13.
Nilda Williams, 51, of Fahs Street in York, was arrested after police were called to the Calvin Klein outlet store around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday.
According to police, Williams resisted arrest and had to be “forced to the ground.” She later admitted the theft, they said.
Williams “utilized a tool to removed security sensors from the clothing,” police said.
This is Williams’ tenth retail theft offense.
Since 2003, Williams has been charged with theft eight times in York County. This was her first offense in Lancaster County.
She was taken to Lancaster County Prison for arraignment and was unable to post bail, which was set at $10,000.
